JOD Events — Terms & Conditions

A unit of JOD Business Services
Effective date: 02nd September, 2026

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the JOD Events website, booking platform, and related services, and your participation in events organised or facilitated by JOD Events, a unit of JOD Business Services (“we”, “us”, or “our”).

Please read these terms, our Privacy Policy, our Refund, Cancellation & Ticket Transfer Policy, and any event-specific conditions before completing your registration or purchase.

2. Our Role

JOD Events may act as:

  • An organiser or manager of its own events.
  • A service provider supporting another organiser.
  • A registration and ticketing platform for independently hosted events.

The relevant organiser and JOD Events’ role will be identified on the event page.

For independently hosted events, the host is responsible for delivering the advertised event, obtaining necessary permissions, and managing venue arrangements and participant safety within its control. JOD Events remains responsible for its own services and obligations under applicable law.

3. Eligibility and Registration

You must provide accurate and complete information when registering or making a booking.

The person completing a purchase must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into an agreement. Registrations for minors must be completed or authorised by a parent or lawful guardian.

Participants must meet any age, category, qualification, or other eligibility requirements disclosed on the event page.

If you book for another person, you must be authorised to provide their details and ensure that they receive the relevant event information and conditions.

4. Ticket Purchases and Payments

Tickets must be purchased through our official website, authorised booking channels, or ticketing partners identified by us or the relevant host.

Ticket prices, applicable taxes, and mandatory charges will be displayed before payment. Optional items will require your selection.

A paid booking is confirmed when payment is successfully verified and a booking confirmation or ticket is issued. A payment debit alone does not establish a confirmed booking.

If payment is deducted without confirmation, contact us with your transaction reference before attempting another payment.

Please check your confirmation promptly and report any errors.

5. Tickets and Admission

Your ticket is valid only for the event, date, session, and category specified.

You may be required to present your ticket and reasonable identification for verification. Keep ticket links and QR codes secure to prevent unauthorised use.

Tickets may not be duplicated, altered, resold, or transferred without approval under the applicable transfer policy.

Admission and re-entry are subject to the conditions disclosed for the event, venue capacity, and reasonable safety requirements. Late arrivals may be admitted only at a suitable time where immediate entry would disrupt the programme.

6. Participant Conduct

Participants must:

  • Follow reasonable instructions from authorised event staff and venue personnel.
  • Respect other participants, staff, performers, and venue property.
  • Comply with applicable laws and disclosed venue rules.
  • Avoid harassment, discrimination, threats, violence, and disruptive behaviour.
  • Refrain from carrying prohibited or dangerous items.

Entry may be refused, or a participant may be removed, for a material breach of these terms or a reasonable safety concern. Such decisions will be proportionate and non-discriminatory.

Any resulting refund entitlement will be assessed under the applicable policy and law; removal does not automatically extinguish statutory rights.

7. Safety and Personal Belongings

Participants must consider their suitability for activities involving physical exertion or other disclosed risks and follow the relevant safety instructions.

Where appropriate, seek professional advice before participating and inform the organiser of assistance you require. Any health or accessibility information collected will be handled under the applicable privacy notice.

Parents or guardians must arrange appropriate supervision for minors unless the event expressly provides supervised participation.

Please take reasonable care of personal belongings and promptly report any loss, damage, or safety incident to event staff.

8. Refunds, Cancellations and Transfers

Bookings are subject to our Refund, Cancellation & Ticket Transfer Policy and any event-specific conditions clearly disclosed before purchase.

Participant cancellations, changes in plans, late arrival, and non-attendance do not ordinarily qualify for a refund, except where otherwise stated or required by law.

Requests to change dates or transfer tickets must normally be received at least 10 calendar days before the booked event date and are subject to availability and approval.

Different provisions apply where an organiser cancels, postpones, or significantly changes an event. Please refer to the Refund, Cancellation & Ticket Transfer Policy for details.

9. Event Changes and Unavoidable Circumstances

An organiser may need to make reasonable programme adjustments or change, postpone, or cancel an event because of safety concerns, severe weather, government restrictions, or other unavoidable circumstances.

Affected participants will be notified through the contact details provided during registration. Where changes materially affect the advertised event, the available options and remedies will be communicated.

Unavoidable circumstances do not automatically remove refund rights or other remedies available under applicable law.

10. Photography, Videography and Recordings

Photography, videography, or livestreaming may take place at certain events. Recording arrangements and intended uses will be explained through event information, registration notices, or venue signage.

Personal information and event media will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and any applicable host notice. Separate permission will be obtained where required, including for featured promotional appearances and relevant uses involving children.

Attendance alone does not constitute unrestricted permission for every promotional use of your image.

Participants must respect restrictions on recording performances, sessions, or other attendees.

11. Privacy and Communications

We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

For independently hosted events, information necessary to fulfil your booking and facilitate participation may be shared with the identified host.

Booking confirmations, reminders, entry instructions, and event changes are service communications. Optional marketing and sponsor communications are handled separately under the applicable consent arrangements.

12. Responsibilities of Event Hosts

Hosts using the JOD Events platform must:

  • Provide accurate event descriptions, prices, inclusions, eligibility requirements, and cancellation terms.
  • Have authority to organise the event and obtain necessary permissions and licences.
  • Deliver the advertised services and maintain appropriate safety arrangements.
  • Use participant information only for disclosed and lawful purposes.
  • Protect participant data and restrict access to authorised persons.
  • Promptly report cancellations, significant changes, and relevant security incidents.
  • Cooperate in resolving participant complaints and processing eligible refunds.
  • Hold the rights or permissions required for uploaded content, branding, and promotional material.

Additional commercial conditions, including service fees, settlements, refund funding, and data-processing responsibilities, will be governed by a separate host agreement.

13. Website Use and Intellectual Property

You must not misuse the platform, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with its operation, submit fraudulent bookings, or upload unlawful or infringing content.

Website content, branding, designs, and event materials belong to JOD Business Services or their respective owners. You may use booking materials for their intended personal purpose but may not reproduce or commercially exploit protected content without permission.

We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address fraud, security risks, or material breaches. Such restrictions will not remove rights relating to legitimate bookings.

14. Liability

Each party is responsible for its own acts and omissions to the extent provided by applicable law.

JOD Events does not guarantee the conduct of independent hosts, attendees, or external providers. However, acting as a platform does not exclude our responsibility for our own representations, services, negligence, or statutory duties.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, negligence, injury, deficient services, or any other matter where exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law.

Participation in an event does not waive your legal rights.

15. Complaints and Support

For booking assistance or complaints, please contact us with your booking reference, event details, and a description of the issue.

For independently hosted events, we may coordinate with the host to investigate and resolve your concern. We will provide a complaint reference and respond within applicable legal timelines.

17. Updates and Event-Specific Conditions

We may revise these terms periodically and publish the updated version with its effective date.
